Well, Friday evening was my first working visit to Spearmint Rhino's in Norwich.
I was really kept on my toes trying to sketch the girls, working in the semi-darkness made it hard work, but I guess it would be a bit churlish to moan too much !
After doing some sorting out over the weekend, i managed to finish this piece today, the first of many I hope.
While I think about it, I must say a massive thank-you to Vincent, the girls, and staff at the club.
Everyone made a big effort to make me feel welcome, and got into the idea of what I am trying to achieve.
Bravo !

Thanks ana, the lighting in there was so poster coloured, almost like animation. I have some good reference material, so I'm hoping to do loads more.
And as for you snapper, I don't know how you got SO cynical !!

There's a great debate simmering here about the difference between humour (sorry, humor) on the two sides of the pond - and how we express ourselves. Not sure if this is the right place to have it, maybe one day.
As for 'sarcasting', that totally rocks as a word and I'm going to program it into my head.
Tomorrow I'm going to teach my kids about sarcasting.

Speaking of the beach, had a cracking afternoon down at Cart Gap yesterday. Big beach glass hunt, my 4-y-o appears to be a natural. The 5-y-o was trying, but too busy screaming at the teeny tiny swell and trying to ride the dog like a horse.
Ah yes, but they both take after you as had their trousers off within five minutes of hitting the sand!
Typical, five minutes of beach action, instant shameless nakedness !
Same you can't use beach glass as hard currency, we'd be loaded!

I'm learning a lot about you British folks from this little blog of yours, Sam. For instance, it appears men of your country --both young and not so young -- like getting their kits off quite often.
Oh ana, not just the men.....we have had to get nekkid just to keep up with the girls.
They are a nightmare, always starkers, at the drop of a hat !!!
And here I thought Benny Hill and Monty Python were just big comedy routines...now I come to find, from your blog, that maybe they give good representation of British folk in general. yes?
Oh yeah.......Benny Hill was practically a documentary !
Especially the bit about the milkman with the thick glasses, sort of looks a bit like beachfreak!
And he is related to many of the contestants in the Upper Class Twit of the Year contest (Monty Python), many of whom were at the East Anglian Country and Game Fair today!
