Cromer pier

I took this about ten days ago, the people were walking back along the pier after the show at the Pavillion.

To me, it sums up summer evenings at Cromer. So different from winter when the wind tears you in half as darkness arrives just after 3.30 in the afternoon !

Pretend. Winter. Not. Real.

Shiny summer long days warm beach sandy breeze laughter cold beer fun.

Oh my word, that is just spectacular. I have always appreciated living in such a lovely part of our country, especially after moving away a few times! Your recent photos though have really made me think again how fortunate I am. Was sitting in gloomy NW looking out of my office window feeling distinctly disenchanted with our "summer" then you post that beautuful image. Fab! Thank you. PS Did you know that if you word check Cromer, it offers crummier as a possible correction. Food for thought there!

You seem to be out and about with your camera quite a lot at the moment. Which is defintely a good thing. Beautiful picture.

It seems it might rain Sunday now so i guess we'll have to see, will ring you a.m.? Thurs eve, picnic or tray bbq's?

I think you are on the right track beachfreak.

Crummier could work, in a sort of over-familiar cheeky way.

Thanks renie, if we are in the water it doesn't matter if it rains. Was brilliant last night in the rain, the surf improved.
I think picnic on Thursday, otherwise too much time spent fannying around with food.

And to think I have always considered Cromer to be such a horrible place.

Viewing through fresh eyes obviously required.

I have a real love for Cromer.
It's a place with a real persona. Not all good, but not all plastic.....
and it looks beautiful more often than you would think.

To be honest, apart from happening to drive through the place only the other night, I have not actually been there for years. And when I did used to go a lot my view would have been somewhat distorted by the end of the evening.

I have to say when I drove through it didn't look this good, but I guess as with so many things in life, timing is everything.
