Per Ardua ad Astra

90 years ago today the Royal Air Force was formed as an independant arm of the British military establishment.

Happy Birthday to all current, and retired boys/girls in blue, wherever you are.
Through Endeavour to the Stars.

(I'm at back right, behind the aircraft).

That was YOU KP? Shall we call you Biggles from now on?

My Dad was in the Airforce and so were lots of my male rellies in the war. Those who weren't in the RAF were submariners (eek, claustrophobia)or ambulance drivers (eek, blood and gore).

Heroes, every damn one of them.

Hiya TBNIL, sorry about the little white lie, I'm actually the guy second from the left, in the front row, with the squadron goat on a chain.......
