This piece has left me for it's new home in the Midlands. My client is a coastal lad who's work means he has to live relatively far from the ocean, I hope the painting brings happy memories of times past.
Lovely piece of work. Feel sorry for the fella stuck away from the beach, but I don't think you need to 'hope' that this painting will do the desired job, I think you can be sure. Some people would wager a quid it might bring him back away from the inland, if that's even a possibility.
Colours great, something about the angles even better. It's not the old toggy's trick of triangles is it?

Hello Freak, I think maybe one day the buyer will return to the coast, but for now he's stuck with his work.
To be honest, I don't know why the basic simple composition works so well in this case. The old rule of thirds works for most things, but sometimes if you tweak it a bit it's even better. .....was gonna ramble on about boring theory then, but stopped myself just in time !!!

The painting is now on the wall and looks great.
It took a while to get around to hanging it up, Well to knock a few tacks through a hook is a lot to ask a bloke after all... lol
